While defensive commits was a worry not long ago, the Hogs got another defensive end to put pen to paper and come to Fayetteville.

Coutre Alexander was a guy who bloomed a little later and got some late attention from a couple big schools after the early signing period. Players like Alexander getting late offers and signing in February are going to become more common with the two different signing periods.
The Defensive End from Owasso is a 3-star and had his choice narrowed down to the Hogs and Longhorns. Arkansas offered Alexander a day after Texas did in December and got the commitment after his official visit. In addition to that he had offers from Memphis, Tulsa, and Tulane. He was versatile at Owasso, the same high school that produced former Hog Keon Hatcher.
He had 53 tackles to go with 4.5 sacks and two interceptions to lead his team to an Oklahoma State Title. He’s another defensive lineman coming in, a major focus of new Defensive Coordiator John Chavis.
