John Steven Jones, or more famously known has Jerry’s grandson, has committed to the Hogs. He’s a pro style quarterback that got some national attention for his insane comeback in a state title game. Whether or not any of that translates to the college game remains to be seen.
Jones is only listed at 5’10”, 185 lbs, so he’s going to be dwarfed by his teammates. Despite that, he still earned a three-star rating and had offers from Texas Tech, Kansas, and SMU.
He’s also the second quarterback signed in this class with Connor Noland, which means the QB room is getting pretty full. They’ll join Cole Kelley, Ty Storey, and Daulton Huatt as the other scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.
For the recruiting class, the list of commits/signees is now at 15 and is starting to look a little more well rounded. It still isn’t a class to brag about, but considering where things were at the early signing period, some serious progress has been made.
