Who steps up on defense?

Defensive Line

DE: Jamario Bell/Mataio Soli/Nick Fulwider

DT: McTelvin Agim/Briston Guidry/Billy Ferrell

DT: T.J. Smith/Jonathan Marshall/Isaiah Nichols

DE: Dorian Gerald/Gabe Richardson/Zach Williams

Agim hasn’t settled on a spot on the line throughout his Arkansas career. Should turn down the NFL draft and return, there’s a bigger need at the tackle spot. There are also a lot of talented defensive ends coming onto the team in this upcoming recruiting class, which is going to be very difficult to tell who steps up from day one. So let’s slot in Soli and Williams to begin with but multiple freshman could see those spots.

Linebackers

LB: Hayden Henry/Andrew Parker/Coutre Alexander

LB: Bumper Pool/Zach Zimos/Dee Walker

LB: De’Jon Harris/Grant Morgan/Giovanni LaFrance

After the starters, there’s not a lot of depth and plenty of questions as to who’s next. Parker struggled with injuries this year and Zimos could come in and have a Bumper Pool in 2018 like impact.

Secondary

CB: Ryan Pulley/Montaric Brown/Britto Tutt

CB: Jarques McClellion/Devin Bush/Adonis Otey

SS: Kamren Curl/Myles Mason/ Malik Chavis

FS: Joe Foucha/Micahh Smith/Myles Brooks

Foucha has emerged in the second half of the season as one of the better freshman performers. At the corners, there are plenty of guys with a lot of talent. It should come down to who is most consistent both on the practice field and the first couple of game days.
