SEC Power Rankings: Holiday Hooplah

There was a lot more movement this week.

14. South Carolina

South Carolina’s schedule has been brutal so far and while it might help in the future, things are ugly right now.

13. Georgia

At least someone beat Georgia Tech this week.

12. Texas A&M

A&M is gathering up some positive momentum into conference play. They can make a big leap if there start well there.

11. Ole Miss

Just a win over Kermit Davis’ former side in Middle Tennessee.

10. Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt got a good win at home against Arizona State, but couldn’t top Kansas State.

9. Arkansas

More ups and downs for the Hogs this week. Unfortunately there were a few more downs than ups.

8. Missouri

Wins over Xavier and Illinois May not be marquee wins but they sure feel good for them to get.

7. Alabama

Alabama is slowly getting things together and got a nice win against Penn State.

6. Florida

Cruised against Mercer and Florida Gulf Coast. Not much to really get any takeaways from.

5. LSU

The Tigers had the most impressive week in the conference beating St. Mary’s in a neutral game and then taking down previously unbeaten and ranked Furman.

4. Mississippi State

11-1 is the best winning percentage in the conference. They didn’t take down anyone big this week but they keep winning.

3. Auburn

They fell victim to a upset bid at NC State and struggled against Ja Morant, but a lot of teams have this year.

2. Kentucky

Yeah the Wildcats are going to be just fine. They looked like they’re coming together well with a neutral court win over North Carolina.

1. Tennessee

They got a small test in Wake Forest. It wasn’t a problem for them.
