With October baseball upon us, we could be watching a couple of former Diamond Hogs playing deep into the playoffs. Houston’s Dallas Keuchel and Boston’s Andrew Benintendi will be featured for their teams who hold the top two records in baseball.
The Astros will host the Indians beginning Friday, but Keuchel is not scheduled to start until game 3 on Monday in Cleveland. Eight of his 12 wins this season have come on the road, which may be one reason why they are holding him until then. Keuchel finished the season 12-11 with a 3.74 and 153 strikeouts.
The Red Sox will also begin play on Friday against the winner of the A’s and Yankees wild card elimination game. Benintendi hit .290 this season with 16 home runs, 87 RBI and 21 stolen bases.

Dowell Loggains, former backup quarterback at Arkansas, is now calling plays as offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins who have found themselves 3-1 early this season. Before struggling in their lone loss against New England last week, the Dolphins averaged 25 points per game in the first three weeks.
Trey Flowers returned from injury for the Patriots this week and recorded one solo tackle.
