SEC Week 5 Power Rankings

1-2-and a big ol’ mess

NCAA Football: Florida at Mississippi State Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

14. Arkansas

They’re way closer to climbing out of the cellar than a couple weeks ago. So that’s nice.

13. Tennessee

This week in “oh no vols”

12. Vanderbilt

They struggled against FCS Tennessee State. A loss there would’ve plummeted them to the bottom.

11. Ole Miss

They were never really in the game against LSU. Joe Burrow almost got 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing against them.

10. Mississippi State

0-2 in SEC play is not what was expected in Starkville this year. Losing to Dan Mullen only makes things more painful for them.

9. South Carolina

Jake Bentley had an ugly game against Kentucky and South Carolina only got to 10 points because of it.

8. Texas A&M

That was a little too close for comfort Jimbo. Now a Kentucky team full of confidence is coming to town.

7. Florida

4-1 and that one is looking like it came to the hands of a pretty good team. Things are off to a good start for Mullen.

6. Missouri

Off this weekend but Kentucky’s performance this weekend has them deservedly passing the Tigers.

5. Kentucky

So is their game against Georgia gonna decide the East? It’s looking like it.

4. Auburn

A weird final score after a weird game for Auburn. The circumstances were odd but it won’t make anyone feel better about their offense.

3. LSU

JEAUXBURREAUX.

2. Georgia

Put it in cruise control for a half and still eased into a 26-point win.

1. Alabama

Sigh.
