More On The Cowboys

Oklahoma State’s record doesn’t jump off the page, but they’re a team that doesn’t really have a head scratching loss and have played several tough games. All seven of their losses this year have come to teams in KenPom’s top-50, and most were on the road. They’re currently on a streak of four straight road losses, which should give the Razorbacks hope they can make it five.

Projected Starters

Arkansas is 3-0 with this starting five so it should continue, even after Daryl Macon’s closing performance against Georgia. Having him off the bench should continue to have that spark in the first half, while still having him available to close the game.

They Cowboys are led by Jeffrey Carroll and Kendall Smith, who like to score in the paint. They will also get a lot of easy buckets from Mitchell Solomon’s offensive rebounding ability.

3 Key Stats

Both teams like to force turnovers so taking care of the ball will be pivotal in this one. The Cowboys will also try to get some extra possessions with their offensive rebounding. Arkansas will need to get a body on Solomon every time a shot goes up and secure the ball so they can get out in transition. The other place they have a big advantage is three point shooting. Arkansas shoots the ball much better than the Cowboys and will need some to fall from Macon, and Jaylen Barford. A couple from CJ Jones would be nice as well.
