Arkansas’ big recruiting weekend led to a second commit today. Courtre Alexander became the 11th commit of the 2018 class while picking the Hogs over Texas.

The Defensive End from Owasso is a 3-star and had his choice narrowed down to the Hogs and Longhorns. Arkansas offered Alexander a day after Texas did in December and got the commitment after his official visit. In addition to that he had offers from Memphis, Tulsa, and Tulane. He was versatile at Owasso, playing multiple positions but is being recruited as a defensive end. At 6’4” and 260 lbs, that’s also the best position for his size.
He had 53 tackles to go with 4.5 sacks and two interceptions to lead his team to an Oklahoma State Title. He’s going to be the fourth defensive lineman brought in with this class. Turning the defensive line into a strength was a major focus of John Chavis and the defensive staff so Alexander is a big get from this recruiting weekend.
