Andrew Parker Commits to Arkansas

The Hogs have a second linebacker commit.

NCAA Football: Louisiana State at Arkansas Brett Rojo-USA TODAY Sports

It was a big recruiting weekend for the Razorback football team and they’ve gotten one commit out of it so far. Andrew Parker, a linebacker from Louisiana liked what he saw at the Razorback basketball game and around the football program to commit this weekend.

Parker is a 6’2”, 225 lb. 3-star Linebacker from the New Orleans area. He doesn’t come as the most highly recruited player but was one of the first to get an offer from new Defensive Coordinator John Chavis. He was also getting looks from Texas A&M and Nebraska but Louisiana Lafayette was the only other FBS offer he had at the time of committing.

He’s got good speed for the position, running a 4.5 40 yard dash, and racked up over 100 tackles in his senior season. Because of the two different signing days, teams like Arkansas are going to continue to try and find undiscovered gems, hoping Parker can be a guy who outperforms his recruiting ranking.
