More on the Gators

When all things are clicking for the Gators, they’re the scariest team in the SEC. That’s evident by the wins over Gonzaga, Cincinnati, and the 4-0 start in SEC play this year. The problem is they haven’t always been clicking, and that leads to weird losses against Loyola-Chicago and Ole Miss.

Projected Starters

Hog fans know about Kevaughn Allen plenty already. The Arkansas native has had big games in the past against the Razorbacks. Chris Chiozza is also more than capable of taking over a game like he did against Gonzaga, or getting a steal and game winner against Missouri.

3 Key Stats

Offensively, the offensive footprints aren’t that dissimilar. Both teams are solid from outside and are extremely efficient due to not turning the ball over. Arkansas has done an excellent job of not turning the ball over, the Gators have been led by Chiozza and have done an even better job of that. Arkansas is going to need a fast start and a full defensive effort for this one. Arkansas has a notoriously long losing streak in Gainesville, and to overcome that they’ll need to do two things we haven’t seen from them in a while. No extended shooting droughts offensively, and no lapses on defense leading to easy shots.
