Major League Baseball
With all the playoff spots just about locked up (except for the second NL Wild Card) we know three former Hogs will be in postseason play. Dallas Keuchel’s Houston Astros will likely take on Andrew Benintendi’s Boston Red Sox. Over in the NL Logan Forsythe and his Los Angeles Dodgers will be waiting to see who comes from the wild card matchup.
Keuchel and the Astros are still trying to grab the best record in the AL, they are one back of the Cleveland Indians and Keuchel will likely have one more start. In his last outing he threw a solid six innings, giving up one run as the Astros cruised. Despite missing significant time, Keuchel is sitting on a 14-5 record on the year.
This past week, Benintendi and Forsythe both connected for home runs. They will both likely be in the starting lineups for both of their team’s playoff series.
Elsewhere in the majors, Blake Parker has moved into the closer’s role for the Los Angeles Angels. This past weekend he had his seventh save of the season as the Angels faded from playoff contention. Brian Anderson, Matt Reynolds, and James McCann all continue to start for their respective teams.

We had an all Razorback backfield in London! Sort of. The Baltimore Ravens had a horrible trip to London and in garbage time both Alex Collins and Ryan Mallett got playing time together. Collins had 82 yards rushing and Mallett got a short touchdown pass. Jarius Wright was the other Razorback to score this weekend, getting a touchdown reception for the Vikings.
Defensively, Martell Spaight and Trey Flowers get the game balls. Spaight took advantage of an injury to a teammate and stepped up, getting nine tackles on Sunday Night Football. Flowers was his usual, dependable self with six tackles and a sack. His teammate Deatrich Wise Jr. also had a couple of tackles but was unable to register a sack for the first time this season.
