Weather
It’s going to feel very much like Summer in Arlington outside on Saturday with a high of 94 and next to no chance of rain in the area. It’ll be nice and cool in the dome for the game, however, (and I’m guessing plenty of room to stretch out with more than a few empty seats).
Notes
The Hogs had a (merciful) bye week last Saturday while A&M struggled mightily for a half against the mighty Rajun Cajun’s of Louisiana Lafayette. I’m honestly not sure which opportunity was a better one. A (supposed to be) cupcake to try and figure some stuff out, or a week off debut some shiny new Cowboy themed uniforms, to practice against each other (and evidently get into fights with each other). I was at the game 3 years ago and allowed myself to believe that “we” were actually going to win that game against A&M before giving up 3 big plays late and losing in OT. From that point forward, I’ve looked at this game as an inevitable loss until this staff and this team can show me they can win in that building. Kevin Sumlin is staring down at a giant turd on a silver plate in his lap… but my (hopefully wrong) expectation is that he’ll find a way to slide that shiny brown one right off of his plate and onto the chipped china flatware that rests before Coach Bret Bielema. I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but give me the Aggies and the over on Saturday… I’ll be rooting hard against my pick. Go Hogs!
