Maureese Wren Commits to Arkansas

6’4” 215 lb. ATH from Mesquite, TX

NCAA Football: Texas El Paso at Arkansas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Razorbacks have been needing an outside linebacker for the 2018 class and it appears they have one in Mauresse Wren. Wren plays both wide receiver and outside linebacker for his high school in Mesquite, Texas but the Hogs have been recruiting him for his defensive work.

He is a three-star according to 247Sports but has seen a big upward swing in the rankings in the past couple of months. Wren chose the Hogs over fellow Power 5 schools Baylor, Washington, and Colorado. His only other offer from an SEC school was Missouri.

The commitment brings Arkansas total up to 12, and with the limited amount of seniors leaving that means the class is starting to be filled up. The Hogs have a few more guys they’ll bring in no matter what, but right now it’s about filling needs. This commitment from Wren fills a big need for this class.
