Major League Baseball

It’s not the most impressive walk-off, but it all counts the same. Andrew Benintendi got a walk-off walk against the rival New York Yankees. The walk-off came in the first game of a four game series that Benintendi struggled at the plate. He started the series 3-7 with that walk-off, but finished the last two games 0-8.

Dallas Keuchel could be back on the mound for the Astros soon. The left-handed ace gets his first rehab start with the Corpus Christi Hooks this Monday. Unfortunately there is no upcoming rehab trips to Springdale to play the Naturals for Keuchel.

Former Hogs Currently on MLB 40-man rosters: 7 (Dallas Keuchel - Astros, Andrew Benintendi - Red Sox, Blake Parker - Angels, Logan Forsythe - Dodgers, James McCann - Tigers, Matt Reynolds - Mets, Mike Bolsinger - Blue Jays)

Minor League Baseball

Chad Spanberger continues to mash baseballs in 2017. In his last 10 games in rookie ball he’s hitting .341, has 9 RBIs and 2 HRs. He’s currently second on the team in Doubles, Home Runs, and Slugging Percentage.

For the Miami Marlins, Brian Anderson just got promoted to Triple-A ball this weekend. He’s just coming off an appearance in the MLB Futures Game and will play for the New Orleans Baby Cakes. (Yes, that’s really their name.)

NBA

All quiet on the NBA front. Still the same three on NBA rosters, and a whole bunch playing in various places overseas. The most recent news was Patrick Beverley being part of the Chris Paul deal that sent him to the Clippers.

NFL

Training Camp starts this week for several NFL teams, and with it comes a sizable amount of former Razorbacks aiming to make the final 53-man rosters. One player who has raised some eyebrows is Drew Morgan with the Dolphins. If you get to the poll at the end of the article, you’ll see fans are pretty optimistic about his chances of being on the team once the regular season rolls around

Former Hogs in the NFL: 28 (Notables include: Trey Flowers - Patriots, Hunter Henry - Chargers, Darren McFadden - Cowboys, Jason Peters - Eagles, Travis Swanson - Lions, Jonathan Williams - Bills)
