Nick Fulwider Signs With Arkansas

The last day of the Early Signing Period brought a nice surprise.

On the last day of the Early Signing Period, the Hogs got another player on the defensive side of the ball, one they narrowly missed on in the fall. Nick Fulwider, a defensive lineman from Georgia signed with the Hogs.

With a long, lanky frame reminiscent of Deatrich Wise Jr., Fulwider is good news and a big get to close out a difficult Early Signing Period. Listed at 6’7” and 250 lbs, Fulwider was originally committed to North Carolina. Last week he visited Fayetteville, and recently decommited before signing with the Hogs.

While not from the immediate footprint that Chad Morris usually recruits from, he very quickly made getting Fulwider a high priority. We was able to do enough to get him on campus and convinced him to stay in Fayetteville.

Arkansas now has eight commits in the class, and with the early signing period over recruiting news will likely slow down until February. The Hogs are still able to grow and improve the quality of this small class, while it’s not going to be a flashy class by any means, Morris and company could swing things in a more positive direction in the coming months.
