Billy Ferrell Signs With Arkansas

Weighing in at 331 lbs., Billy Ferrell is the largest recruit to sign with the Hogs today. The Fordyce native is the most recent commit as well, not committing until after Chad Morris’ recruiting efforts.

Ferrell is a 3-star and rated as the 7th best player in the state of Arkansas but has a much more impressive list of offers than that ranking would normally bring. Alabama, Wisconsin, and Louisville had all taken notice of Ferrell and offered.

Without a defensive staff in place, its impossible to know Ferrell’s role, but with his soze he could be an effective nose guard in the 3-4 scheme used last year. We’ll just have to see what the new staff plans to do with the defense.
