From a physical standpoint, the Razorbacks got their biggest commitment of the upcoming class. Billy Ferrell from Fordyce announced his decision to come to Arkansas today. Standing at 331 pounds, Ferrell will be the third largest player on the football team behind Brian Wallace and Johnny Gibson Jr.
Ferrell is a three star commitment and is listed as the 9th best player in the state of Arkansas by 247 Sports. Arkansas now has seven of the top nine players in the state, with Gerry Bohanon announcing soon. Arkansas was Ferrell’s pick over offers from Alabama, Louisville, and Wisconsin.
That makes four commitments for Chad Morris, who is trying to salvage a small recruiting class, and seems to be doing a respectable job of doing that with bringing in as much in state talent as possible. With the rapidly approaching early signing period, Arkansas now has 12 commits, and over half of them are from the Natural State.
