Silas Robinson Commits to Arkansas

He is the second to flip from SMU to Arkansas today.

For the second time today, an SMU commit has followed Chad Morris to the Hill. This one is OL Silas Robinson from Yoakum, Texas.

Robinson joins Mike Woods in Fayetteville and becomes the 11th commit in Arkansas class. Morris has his work cut out for him filling up the class of 2018 before the early signing period. Flipping a couple players he’s recruited from SMU will help with that.

Listed at 6’4” 300 lbs. Robinson has the size needed. He wasn’t a heavily recruited guy, he committed to SMU in June over offers from Virginia, BYU, and Army. Playing for new offensive line coach Dustin Fry was a huge reason for Robinson choosing to make the switch.

While moved around some in high school, expect Robinson to be used somewhere inside the line at either guard or center. Coaches watched him take part in his team’s most recent playoff win this weekend before getting his commitment.
