3-star WR Mike Woods made himself the first Razorback commit for new head coach Chad Morris. The Texas based WR flipped from SMU to Arkansas due to his relationship with Morris from the recruiting trail.

Woods is listed as 6’1” and 188 lbs and has plenty of speed that will work in Morris’ up tempo style. Woods had been the highest rated commit at SMU with offers from Power 5 Schools Iowa State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and others.
In his last two seasons in high school Woods was a huge threat for his team, catching 126 passes for over 2,400 yards and 36 touchdowns. You can see his deep threat ability in his junior season highlight reel.
Woods plans to enroll at Arkansas early to be a part of spring practice. While the Hogs weren’t planning to bring in any receivers this class, it’s clear that will be a constant priority under Morris. The Hogs will need to be active during these last few days before the early signing period to fill up what was already going to be a pretty small class.
