After 10 seasons and 103 games, Darren McFadden is calling it a career. He announced his retirement in a statement earlier today. After three years at Arkansas he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders. He played seven years there before three with the Cowboys. But what we really care about was his stellar collegiate career. DMac was one of the best to ever wear a Razorback uniform, and hell yes he brought that wood.
That came after a 206-yard, three rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown performance. That was the end of his second consecutive Heisman runner up campaigns. McFadden in 38 career games at Arkansas had 41 rushing touchdowns, two receiving touchdowns, and seven passing. He was one of the most feared backs in college football, and was one of the first and most lethal weapons coming out of the wildcat formation.
McFadden will always be one of the best to play in Razorback Stadium and even went out with an idea.
Now that I have some free time, I just realized that @RazorbackFB needs a new Head Coach. Hit me up! #WPS

No there’s an idea, one that doesn’t need any kind of search firm. Let’s let McFadden get that headset on and he an offensive coordinator Felix Jones can get the band back together and run some wildcat. And yes, we’re totally joking.
Or are we?
