Major League Baseball

Dallas Keuchel and the Houston Astros got the best of Andrew Benintendi in this series, advancing in 4 games. Keuchel and Benintendi went head-to-head three times and Keuchel won all three, focing Benny to groundout twice and flyout once. Keuchel went 5 23 innings and struck out seven while giving up just one run in his only start of the series.

Benintendi had a slow first three games, going just 2-of-12, but in game 4 he woke up and hit a huge home run off Justin Verlander that gave the Red Sox the lead, but his team was unable to keep the lead.

In the National League, Logan Forsythe’s Dodgers advanced and Forsythe had a big series at the plate, finishing 4-of-9 and scoring four runs. His biggest game was a three hit performance in game 2.

National Football League

For the second straight week Hunter Henry had a touchdown catch. His grab was part of a 3 catch, 42 yard performance and gave the Chargers a late third quarter lead as they beat the Giants. The call in spanish of his touchdown is also pretty fire.

In New England, Deatrich Wise and Trey Flowers spent plenty of time in the backfield, combining for 1.5 sacks and four total tackles. However the biggest defensive performance came from Darius Philon who had five tackles and a sack.

A fair amount of players had bye weeks or were inactive, here are the other Hogs that registered stats this weekend.

  • Alex Collins - 12 carries, 55 yards
  • Jeremiah Ledbetter - 1 tackle
  • Jason Peters - Started on O-Line
