Most bookmakers don’t post odds for games between FBS and FCS teams. Hogs by a lot.
Partly cloudy with a high of 83 in Little Rock for the game on Saturday
This week’s matchup is all about 3 R’s; Regroup, Refresh and Rest. Last week isn’t what we wanted to see, especially from and offensive line that had many questions going into this season. Move on from the A&M game and put some stats up. Get some touches for the young guys who need them (Hey! Devwah had some flashes last week, huh?) and keep everyone healthy heading into the Bama game next week.
A few things that Arkansas doesn’t have much control over that are potentially in the balance this week. First, CBS has put its 6 day option on the Alabama game next week. It appears that the primary competition for that time slot is Tennessee vs. A&M in College Station. Best guess is that as long as UT doesn’t slip up against Georgia and The Aggies hold serve against South Carolina, Gary and Verne will be in College Station next week. The other game will get the 6 pm CST ESPN slot. Secondly, the guys at College Gameday have mentioned Fayetteville as a possible location for Week 6. The same UT/A&M game along with FSU at Miami seem to be the primary competition for Desmond, Herbie and Coach Corso. Gameday has been to two Tennessee games already this season so that may be a stretch. It’s probably a pick’em between Miami and Arkansas and if either The Canes fall to Georgia Tech or The Noles fall to UNC, Arkansas may lock up that spot.
Finally, I like Arkansas pretty big this week. Let’s go with 45-7 good guys, and most importantly no injuries.
