We now know three of Arkansas' non-conference opponents for 2017. The Razorbacks announced they will play New Mexico State on September 30 next year.
It was already known that TCU will be making their return trip to Fayetteville next year, and reports out of South Carolina indicate Coastal Carolina will also be coming to Arkansas. There's still one spot open for another non-conference game.
The Razorbacks own a 5-0 advantage over the Aggies in the all-time series with the last matchup coming in 2004. The series originally dates back to 1977.
It doesn't say if the game will be in Fayetteville or Little Rock. We can expect either the New Mexico State, Coastal Carolina, or the as yet unknown last non-conference game. Arkansas is still contracted for one more SEC game at War Memorial Stadium that must take place in either 2017 or 2018, but it will likely be in 2018 because of how the SEC schedule falls with one home game vs Texas A&M going to Arlington every other year.
