Arkansas Razorbacks Internet Chatter - Fallout from Alabama Win, SEC Tournament

Plus people think Fayetteville is great!

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Alabama was flying high after a 5 game win streak that vaulted them up to a 16-9 record and into the NCAA Tournament discussion. Their final home game against the Hogs put the nail in the coffin for those aspirations. Their final stretch looked manageable but has turned into disaster, their loss to Arkansas was their third in four games. Arkansas got a little bit of revenge for the Tide knocking Arkansas into the NIT in 2014 by returning the favor. If you're a fan of schadenfreude then look at the reaction from Bama trying to figure out just went wrong.

The win against Bama wraps up the road schedule for Arkansas, all that remains is senior night against South Carolina and the SEC Tournament. Harry King has a column about just how big of a mess it can be this year because of all the road struggles the conference is having as a whole. That is nothing new, but the stats say that is for one major reason, poor shooting.

The SEC Tournament is fast approaching, the schedule and other info can be found here. Based of some quick mental math, the Hogs can finish anywhere from 5th to 10th, and currently the Hogs are in a log jam of five teams separated by one game. So good luck trying to guess who their matchup will be before Saturday.

Every so often, some places will post their lists of the best places to live in America with their own different criteria each time. Northwest Arkansas has taken notice of this list from U.S. News that puts Fayetteville as No. 3 in the country. It's gotten enough attention there is even a piece about it on ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Whether or not much stock should be put into these lists is not important, what is important is that the next closest SEC town is Nashville at No. 22. Time to hang up the banner because Fayetteville is the SEC Champs of cities!

Coming off their 100th Conference Title, the men's track team is still looking up. Currently, the team has moved up to a No. 1 ranking in the country and currently leads the nation in qualifiers for the NCAA Championships. Arkansas currently has 14 qualifiers in nine different events. That meet coming up could be one to watch for because Arkansas has a shot at another track title.
