The Razorbacks arrived in Charlotte and have started their Belk Bowl activities. This includes a trip to Charlotte Motor Speedway and zipping around the track at high speeds. Somehow Dan Skipper fit in one of the cars and the team also did a mock pit stop together. The bowl pulled out all the stops even showing off Razorback and Hokie themed race cars.
Bowl games around the holiday season also mean that it could mean some teams practicing on Christmas Day. Arkansas was one of those teams but it mean they had a special guest in Santa coming to visit. Even though they are getting to work, the team clearly is enjoying themselves.
An interesting note about this game is that this is the first time Arkansas is playing in North Carolina. This is the 71st city the Hogs have played in. Check out a map of all of them here. They’ve been all throughout the south and Texas, but never heading to North Carolina is a bit of an oddity.
Now that the regular season is over there are a ton of rankings and lists coming out. ESPN released the top-25 players in the conference. The lone Hog on this list was Rawleigh Williams. Who is a little too low on this list for my opinion. He checks in at 22, but the conference’s leading rusher probably deserves a little higher ranking.
The other half of the Arkansas running back tandem, Devwah Whaley, has had a fantastic freshman season. He talked about how he loves being one of the better 1-2 punches in the SEC along with Williams. There will be plenty of good backs in the SEC, and these two will be right near the top for 2017.
