A day after offensive lineman Frank Ragnow announced he would be returning to Arkansas for his senior season, receiver Jared Cornelius made the same announcement.
Said Cornelius on ArkansasRazorbacks.com:
When I made the decision to attend the University of Arkansas, I knew I was signing up to be a part of a family and I wasn’t let down. I’m proud to be a Razorback and I am thankful for the opportunity to attend a great school like the University of Arkansas. The road thus far hasn’t been easy. However, I am thankful for all the ups and downs along the way.
That being said, I am very excited to say that I will be returning for my senior season.
This probably isn’t a huge surprise, but it’s still very welcome news, especially after early departures the last couple of years had a major impact on the Razorbacks.
Cornelius will be the only returning receiver with significant playing time already under his belt, and in some games had the best receiving numbers on the team. He’s also worked as Arkansas’ punt returner. He’ll likely be relied on to help bring the younger receivers along, and will also likely be a top target for Austin Allen next fall.
