Going Ham Podcast: Alcorn Recap That Accidentally Became an Alabama Preview

How can we focus on an FCS team in the past when the Bama train is rolling into NWA?

NCAA Football: Alcorn State at Arkansas Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

The Arkansas Razorbacks hosted Alcorn State in War Memorial, and by the time the final horn sounded, people had already turned their attention to Alabama.

It was hard for us to stay on topic this week. We tried really hard to recap the Alcorn game, and to talk about the best and worst moments from the game. But honestly, aside from a slow second quarter, the game was pretty boring.

The Hogs took care of business, got some playing time for their backups (kind of) and escaped Little Rock with a win. Why Austin Allen was still on the field in 4th quarter, we don’t know. But that seems to be how Bret Bielema likes to play in decided games.

We eventually work our way into a psuedo-Bama preview, discussing changes to the depth chart and areas where Arkansas needs to improve to have success against the Crimson Tide.

Also, we officially retire a hashtag, and Jon comes up with a terrible replacement.
