Lines

Ole Miss is a 7 point favorite this week with the experts calling for a 67 point O/U. With the difficulty of the Razorback defense to cover the middle of the field and containing a mobile QB, I’ll take Ole Miss to cover the 7 points. I’ll go with the over here as well.

Weather

Another perfect weekend for football in Northwest Arkansas. High of 80 on Saturday and around 75 at kickoff and almost no chance of rain.

Notes

This is pretty much the opposite of an ideal situation for Arkansas. After a thorough bruising last week by Alabama, the Razorbacks must face back to back teams coming off bye-weeks in weeks 7 and 8. Ole Miss was resting last week while watching Austin Allen take ALL the hits versus the Crimson Tide and the Auburn Plains Tigers will be at home this weekend watching a depleted Razorback linebacker corps try and contain Chad Kelly and the “Middle. Of. The. Field.” Ole Miss has blown two separate early game leads against Florida State and Alabama this year, but they blew out Georgia in week 4 and have taken care of their out of conference foes handily. While Arkansas has shown the ability to score on even the most talented teams they’ve faced so far, if the Hogs can’t find someone to cover the middle of the field on defense it’ll be a long night in Fayetteville on Saturday. With revenge for the last two years on their mind and an extra week to prepare for a tenderized Razorback squad, I unfortunately expect the Rebels to find the endzone often. I’ll predict Rebels 42 Razorbacks 30.

No matter what happens this Saturday night, nobody can ever take this away from us.
