I think this is pretty cool.
In an effort to boost excitement surrounding the Razorbacks' game against Toledo, the lone game in War Memorial Stadium this year, Arkansas announced today that Brad Paisley will perform a free concert in Little Rock after the game.
Details of the concert were not really discussed in the press release. Here's the extent of it:
The “Country Nation College Tour presented by Zaxby’s” will be set up outside War Memorial Stadium for a postgame concert on September 12. The comedy band, The Raging Idiots, featuring Bobby Bones and Eddie from iHeartMedia’s national country radio program The Bobby Bones Show, will be the special guest. Additional venue and show details will be announced soon.
So it appears the concert will not actually be in the stadium but outside, perhaps in the parking lot or somewhere in the War Memorial vicinity. Or maybe that's just the pre-Paisley setup and he's actually going to be somewhere like Riverfront. Who knows. Those details are coming though.
Arkansas has had country stars perform in conjunction with football weekends before. Usually someone like Arkansas native and big Razorback fan Justin Moore. So getting someone like Paisley is a cool deal, I think.
