Austin Cantrell Signs With Arkansas

Tight End. Roland, Oklahoma.

If there was a diamond in the rough find that Arkansas got in this class it is probably Austin Cantrell. Before last March Cantrell was an unknown prospect from Roland, Oklahoma. Then he unofficially visited Fayetteville in March and the Razorbacks offered on the spot.

Cantrell was a low 3-star prospect shortly after he committed to Arkansas. Once football season rolled around he shot up the recruiting rankings and the Oklahoma Sooners came calling and offered him. Cantrell had already closed his recruitment and stayed firm on his commitment to Arkansas. He officially visited Arkansas back in October and Barry Lunney Jr. was his recruiter at Arkansas. Give Lunney a lot of credit for finding Cantrell here.

Cantrell is one of three extremely talented tight ends Arkansas is bringing in with this class. He joins C.J. O'Grady and Will Gragg at that position. With Hunter Henry returning next season Arkansas will be loaded with talent at that position.
