Arkansas Commit Derrick Graham Still Recruiting K.J. Hill, FWIW

Got to give him credit for making an effort.

The relationship between K.J. Hill's family and Arkansas might seem impossible to repair by National Signing Day on Wednesday, but that's not stopping Razorback linebacker commit Derrick Graham from doing his part to bring Hill to The Hill.

Graham reached out to Hill on Twitter over the weekend with a late pitch for the Hogs.

Graham also tweeted earlier in the day about his own recruiting process. Many recruiting reporters thought Graham might decommit from Arkansas and follow Randy Shannon to Florida, as Shannon was Graham's main recruiter for Arkansas. However, Graham decided to stick with his commitment after he admitted it was tough not to stick with Shannon.

It's a somewhat similar situation to Hill, in that Hill made it clear Jim Chaney was one of the main reasons for his commitment because he believed Chaney's system would be a good fit for him. However, as we all know, Hill did decommit from Arkansas and appears to be choosing between Ohio State and Alabama instead.

Perhaps it was a veiled message to Hill, perhaps not. Either way, there hasn't been anything to make anyone feel good about Arkansas' chances of signing Hill, and we're certainly not expecting it to happen.

It was reported over the weekend that the coaches might be willing to take a chance on talented juco wideout and Arkansas native Dominique Reed in Hill's place even though his eligibility due to academics will likely not be known until later in the year.
