I'ma do it every year in my birthplace! #WPS— Will Gragg (@W_Gragg7) September 23, 2014
There is a player from Arkansas who had more scholarship offers than any other in-state player in history. That player committed to Arkansas today.
Will Gragg announced Tuesday that he was committing to the Razorbacks. Gragg was not just one of the most wanted recruits in the state, but in the nation. Gragg is the brother of former Razorback and current Buffalo Bill, Chris Gragg.
Gragg is a consensus 4* recruit from Dumas, Arkansas and is considered one of the top TE recruits in the nation. 247Sports grades him at a 92 and the #2 ranked player in the state of Arkansas. Several weeks ago he announced his top 6 of Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas, Mississippi State and LSU. Though, it is reported he had upwards of 45 offers from schools around the country.
Ole Miss and Texas in particular have reportedly had Gragg high on their wish lists and have made hard pushes for him. It should be noted that Gragg, like K.J. Hill, still plans to take his five official visits, but as of today he is committed to the Razorbacks.
This is the 3rd tight end commitment with in Arkansas' 2015 class along with Austin Cantrell and C.J. O'Grady. Expect it to be mentioned among the best tight end groups in the nation come Signing Day, if not the best. This is exactly how Bret Bielema wants to build his roster.
This commitment moves Arkansas into the top 20 in 247Sports recruiting rankings. It's Arkansas' 14th commitment in the 2015 class and the 8th from Arkansas.
