Notes
"You are looking LIVE at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas for a clash between Southwest Conference foes…"
I remember every summer growing up in Arkansas asking my father when the SWC football schedule would be released, and on that glorious day tearing through the sports pages of the newspaper looking for which Saturday I would need to cancel all of my bike riding and drive-way basketball plans to watch the matchup versus our hated rival Texas Tech Red Raiders in a game that was often played for the conference championship.
Ok, none of that ever exactly happened, but Texas Tech is breaking out the throwbacks and calling for a black-out to "Celebrate Cotton" (I'll leave that alone) for the return of the mighty Razorbacks to Lubbock.
Here's an excellent breakdown of Arkansas running game vs. Texas Tech run defense. With Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury's passion for the pass the possible return of Tevin Mitchell could be a big key for the Hogs this weekend. I expect lots of scoring and if Arkansas can slow Tech QB Davis Webb at all, I think we'll see an important non-conference and road victory for the good guys on Saturday.
