Last weekend was brutal. The only game I predicted correctly that I'm even somewhat proud of myself for was Virginia over Syracuse, but most expected the Cuse to roll over. They're probably looking at a 2 or 3 seed at this point. What a meltdown they're having.
The picture will finally be clear after this weekend. Seeding for conference tournaments will be settled, and we can then begin really talking about postseason basketball. Basketball in March is just the best. I love it (please click the link).

SEC Action - Saturday
No. 25 Kentucky at No. 1 Florida - 11 am on CBS
Kentucky is a mess. The Wildcats aren't a top 25 team in my opinion. There are several teams more deserving of the No. 25 spot. The Cats will also be catching Florida on Senior Day. I see the Gators send UK into the SEC Tournament with a bad taste in their mouth. Winner: Florida.
Vanderbilt at Ole Miss - 12:30 pm on ESPN3
Both clubs are reeling. Marshall Henderson needs a bounce back game after whatever that was in Bud Walton Wednesday. It's Senior Day, he'll chuck it at the rim a few more times for old time's sake. Winner: Ole Miss.
Auburn at Texas A&M - 3 pm on ESPN3
Both of these teams are really bad in their own special way. The Aggie offense is next to last in the SEC in offensive efficiency. Auburn is 11th in defensive efficiency and ninth in offensive efficiency in the league. But I'm giving the edge to A&M because the things they do well (4th in SEC) are play defense and value the basketball, and that should be enough to get you a win against a bad team. Winner: Texas A&M.
Arkansas at Alabama - 3 pm on ESPN3
If Arkansas wins this one, I believe they're a lock. That'd be four road wins, and nine wins in the last 10 tries. But it's Trevor Releford's Senior Day and I'm worried. But regardless of what Arkansas has done recently, this is a huge game.
Missouri at Tennessee - 3 pm on ESPN
This game could potentially be big for Arkansas' SEC Tournament seeding should the Razorbacks win at Alabama and Missouri win, but I don't see it happening. Tennessee has a clear advantage inside and on the glass. Winner: Tennessee.
South Carolina at Mississippi State - 3 pm on ESPN3
Frank Martin picked the right game to get suspended for. Statistically, Mississippi State owns the worst offense AND defense in the league, but that's not really breaking news. Winner: South Carolina.
Georgia at LSU - 4 pm on ESPN3
LSU staved off becoming a lock for the NIT by beating Vanderbilt in Nashville Thursday. And LSU can help its own cause more Saturday with a win over Georgia. LSU plays well at home, and UGA has a hard time turning teams over. I think LSU gets out and runs past Georgia. Winner: LSU.
Top Non-SEC Action - Saturday
No. 18 SMU at No. 20 Memphis - 11 am on ESPN2
We're in for a treat with this matchup. SMU wants to play methodically while Memphis wants to turn every game into a track meet. I've become a big fan of Memphis' Geron Johnson. The kid has great size for a guard and can flat out fly. Winner: Memphis.
No. 19 UConn at No. 11 Louisville - 1 pm on CBS
The top two offenses in the American do battle again after Louisville stunned UConn at home in mid-January. But both of these teams will get after you on the defensive end also. Louisville turns its opponents over at nearly a 25 percent clip. It'll be a test for Ryan Boatright and Shabazz Napier. The key to the game will be UConn keeping Montrezl Harrell off the glass. Winner: Louisville.
No. 14 North Carolina at No. 4 Duke - 8 pm on ESPN
Duke's powerful offense will try to avoid the season sweep of the Tar Heels in Cameron Indoor. Duke will win if they keep Carolina off the offensive glass. The Tar Heels rebound nearly 40 percent of their missed shots. And with Duke's small lineup, UNC may have a chance. Winner: Duke.
Sunday
No. 17 Saint Louis at UMass - 1 pm on CBS Sports Network
I never bought in to SLU being a top 10 team. Sure, their defense is terrific, but outside of Jordair Jett, the Billikens' offense is still looking for that second consistent contributor. I really like UMass in this one, and I'm a big fan of Chaz Williams' game. Winner: UMass.
No. 9 Wisconsin at Nebraska - 6:30 pm on Big Ten Network
I'll be honest, I don't know anything about Nebraska basketball outside of Terran Petteway, their fancy brand new arena, and that the Huskers are pretty damn good in their building. I like Nebraska to make a push for the tournament, but wouldn't mind if Wisconsin knocked them off to for the bubble's sake. Winner: Nebraska.
