Bret Bielema says Brandon Allen is good to go, AJ Derby should rejoin them in bowl preparation.
— Danny West (@DannyWest1) December 3, 2014
Coach Bielema: Notes that he saw Brandon Allen and he appeared better, Deatrich Wise is back and AJ Derby should be back during bowl prep
— Hawgs Illustrated (@HImagazine) December 3, 2014
BB on Derby: He had a pretty routine surgery. Hopefully will be back with us in the next two weeks. Won't ruin his future.
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
BB on bowls: This is a brand new world for everybody. Pecking order has changed. A lot depends on this weekend. No bad bowls.
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
That's a nice thing to say but is FALSE. Birmingham is a bad bowl. It's in what I understand is a terrible stadium after New Year's against an AAC opponent. That is a bad bowl. It's better than no bowl, but it's still a bad bowl.
Coach Bielema: Recruiting has been unbelievably positive. Notes that definitely five and as many as nine recruits could enroll at mid-term
— Hawgs Illustrated (@HImagazine) December 3, 2014
It would be great for as many of the newcomers to enroll this spring as possible. That's a big part of why Jared Cornelius was more ready to play this fall than the other freshman receivers.
Bielema: Hogs will start bowl practices on Sunday. Brandon Allen felt pretty good day after game. He and Wise should be good to go.
— Thomas Murphy (@TomMurphyADG) December 3, 2014
BB on practices: The first three practices will be all Arkansas/Arkansas. We might do intro on day 2, 3. I love developmental after practice
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
Let's get to it.
BB on Long: I have been blown away with his leadership, his direction. I know he has been very committed to it (CFB).
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
Awwwww.
Bret Bielema said Jonathan Williams' gesture after TD vs Mizzou was individual act and not condoned. Has talked to J-Will about it.
— Bob Holt (@BobHoltADG) December 3, 2014
Coach B: Jonathan Williams’ hands up, don’t shoot gesture was an individual act - Coach B wants only things that draw attention to team
— Hawgs Illustrated (@HImagazine) December 3, 2014

Yeah, I'm not going to touch on this one with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole. Not in this forum anyway. I will say I do appreciate athletes speaking their mind instead of canned SID-approved statements.
Bret Bielema said he approached AD Jeff Long a couple weeks ago to take a "proactive" approach to retaining assistants.
— Robbie Neiswanger (@NWARobbie) December 3, 2014
BB on coaches: Coaches like stability. Have to make some adjustments that haven't been done here.
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
Definitely. Let them all find a bag of cash on their desks in the morning.
BB on recruiting: We have contacted to kids who were committed to schools (who have lost coaches). We are looking to get best possible fits.
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
BB on recruiting: SEC has lifted rule on 1 year transfers. I was able to take advantage of that at my last place. Always open to that if fit
— Razorback Nation (@RazNation) December 3, 2014
Hmmm, wonder who they might be?
Bielema says Grady Ollison, Korliss Marshall and Will Hines are "looking for opportunities." Won't be practicing with the team for bowl prep
— Danny West (@DannyWest1) December 3, 2014
Disappointing, especially in Korliss Marshall's case, but certainly not surprising. Hines hasn't even really been with the team all season.
