It took awhile but Bret Bielema and Randy Shannon got their first true commitment from the Sunshine State today.
We all know Arkansas desperately needs linebackers and the Hogs got one this morning when Derrick Graham committed to Arkansas. He had offers from Mississippi State, Florida, Nebraska, UCF, and others, but he recently narrowed it down to the Gators, Bulldogs, and the Razorbacks. Graham officially visited Arkansas for the Northern Illinois game.
Graham is a consensus 3* recruit out of Wauchula, Florida. 247Sports grades him at an 85 and the #96 ranked player in Florida. He's officially Arkansas' first linebacker in this class although Dre Greenlaw reportedly could also play linebacker when he gets on campus.
Randy Shannon has worked some magic in Florida since his arrival at Arkansas, and it looks like he's on his way to doing the same this year as well. It's always big when you can pull a player from Florida who has an offer to play for one of the three major schools in the state.
This commitment gives Arkansas' class 18 commitments for the 2015 class. This commit gives Arkansas some more points, but their recruiting ranking remains the same at 19th in the nation.
This is Arkansas' second commitment from Florida as Hjalte Froholdt attends school there, but he is originally from Denmark and this is his only year playing there.
