In addition to earning bowl eligibility, Arkansas' thrashing of Ole Miss has also earned the Razorbacks a little bit of respect in the traditional college football polls.
The Hogs didn't quite make it in the top 25, but are the first team out in the AP Poll and the third team out in the Coaches Poll. It seems like a solid bet Arkansas would be ranked in both polls with a win against Missouri on Friday, and of course could end the season ranked with a bowl victory. Arkansas received more points in the AP poll than any other 4- or 5-loss team in the country.
I'd also like to take this time to point out that both Marshall and Colorado State are ranked in both polls on account of going undefeated. I ask you, in addition to those two schools, how many ranked teams would you take Arkansas to beat right now?
