The magic is starting to happen, and the visitor list is getting longer. Bret Bielema and his staff are planning on having a number of prospects on campus tomorrow.
The 7pm kickoff was an exciting announcement for Razorback fans, and it should benefit recruiting as well. Recruits that generally wouldn't be able to make it into town will be able to because they will have time to drive up before kickoff.
Here's a rundown of who is expected.
Official Visitors:
OL Tyler Howell- This high 3* out of Butler Community College in Kansas has an impressive offer list. Ohio State, Louisville, Mizzou, Kentucky, and Arkansas have all offered him. Arkansas looks to be the favorite here, but they are on several other linemen as well.
WR Dominique Reed- 247Sports upgraded his rating to a 4* on Friday. The speedster is originally from Camden, Arkansas, but is attending Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. Florida and some mid-majors have also offered. The talent is not a question here and if he can take care of business in the classroom, Arkansas will take him (his 247 Crystal Ball is 100% to the Razorbacks right now). He is someone who can stretch the field vertically, something the Razorbacks need desperately.
OL Zach Rogers- The 4* has made what seems like 100 trips to Fayetteville on unofficials. He is a mid-term enrollee.
P Blake Johnson- Arkansas' lowest rated recruit is also top 5 at his position. You don't hear that very often. The recruiting services always rate kickers low, for some reason. This is a big get for Bielema as someone will have to replace Sam Irwin-Hill next season. Johnson will play in the US Army All-American Bowl in January.
Commits on Unofficials
QB Ty Storey
TE Austin Cantrell
S Dre Greenlaw
WR K.J. Hill
TE Will Gragg
TE C.J. O'Grady
2016 WR Jordan Jones
Unofficial Visitors:
RB Charles West- Arkansas is looking for one more running back for this class and West could be it. Out of Coppell, Texas 3* also has offers from Texas Tech and Arkansas State.
2016 Unofficial Visitors:
DE McTelvin Agim- The Hope, Arkansas native is a major target for Arkansas. The consensus 4* is the #1 player in the state for 2016 and already has offers from Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
LB Deontre Hardwick- The Fort Smith native is a consensus 4* recruit. If he can take care of some things, his recruiting will blow up in a hurry.
CB Kiondre Thomas- Also from Ft. Smith, making the trip up with Hardwick, does not have any offers as of today.
WR Isaiah Graham- Holds offers from Arkansas and Tennessee, but it is very early in his recruitment. He is a 4* out of Bastrop, Louisiana.
DL Briston Guidry - Guidry is currently committed to Mississippi State but is planning on making the trip to see the LSU game from his hometown of Metairie, Louisiana.
As always there will be players on this list that do not make the trip, and there will be others who will. There are a few other possible visitors who may or may not show up. With the weather this weekend this is a more timid list than usual. Should the weather forecast improve the list will likely grow. It could be a very good weekend on the recruiting trail and on the field.
