Arkansas Recruiting Update: Dre Greenlaw Commits To The Razorbacks

Outside Linebacker/Safety 6'1" 220 lbs. Fayetteville, Arkansas

Fayetteville's Dre Geenlaw has been blowing up on the recruiting scene since his senior season began, earning an offer from Arkansas just two weeks ago. On Thursday he decided to accept the scholarship offer from the Razorbacks.

Greenlaw had been committed to Arkansas State, where his father is on the coaching staff, since February, but decommitted recently after Arkansas offered and other Power 5 schools began showing interest. Georgia also reportedly offered Greenlaw recently, and schools like Ohio State and Tennessee had been making contact.

But fortunately for the Razorbacks, Greenlaw decided to stay home and play for Arkansas.

Greenlaw is a 3* prospect and could end up playing safety or outside linebacker for the Razorbacks. His commitment moves Arkansas up to 17th at the moment in this year's recruiting rankings.

This is the 16th commitment for the Razorbacks' class of 2015 and the ninth in-state player to choose the Razorbacks (and the second from Fayetteville along with C.J. O'Grady). If LaMichael Pettway picks the Hogs, all ten of the in-state players offered by Arkansas this year will have committed to the Razorbacks.
