I can't imagine Ellis playing vs UAB. I don't think anybody who's quasi-questionable should play. The goal for this game is to get the reserves in for as much as possible in the 2nd half. That's the whole point of playing these types of games late in the season (and to break up an unfortunate losing streak and hopefully get some momentum going).

I appreciate that Coach, but, Arkansas scored four touchdowns in the second half and only gave up one and still lost by two touchdowns. The final score may not have represented a traditional blowout but it sure felt like one.

As much as I love Saturday Roulette, I suggest we create an offensive game plan that doesn't include Russian Roulette.

Razorback fans wanted something to change, and you got it. New punter! Welcome, Toby Baker!
By my count, Arkansas has two kickers (Hedlund and Henson) and a punter (Irwin-Hill) on scholarship and all have now been beaten out/benched in favor of walk-ons. I do feel it's appropriate, at least in Irwin-Hill's case, to note that this is UAB week and this could be a "we'll bench you against a bad team because you're struggling but I bet you learn your lesson before the next SEC game" type of thing.
However, ever since the Texas A&M game when Irwin-Hill was robbed of an SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honor, his performance has drifted. A big part of Alabama's victory over Arkansas was that their punter consistently downed punts inside Arkansas' 20-yard line and Irwin-Hill struggled to equal that performance. Similar struggles happened against Georgia.
And we all know the field goal kicking situation has been a disaster. Why not try being McGame to bring the McPain with Adam McFain?

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I know Arkansas was busy losing to Georgia, but while that was happening Alabama was busy wiping down Nick Saban's statue with Texas A&M's swag. The 59-0 evisceration (worse than any defeat Arkansas suffered in 2012 or 2013, it was 45-0 at halftime!) reduced the Aggies to one measly vote in just one of the two polls.
While Texas A&M was ranked in the top 10 when Arkansas played them, it's a joke to continue referring to them as a top 10 team. They were not of that quality and were overrated because the South Carolina team they beat in Week 1 was also overrated. We already knew this but if Arkansas doesn't make a bowl game it will be easy to look back on that day in Arlington all through the offseason and wonder how Arkansas let that happen.

Everyone has to love A.J. Derby. He's showing why I never understood why he was used as a dropback quarterback last year. He can move!

I don't think he did either, but thems the rules. You just have to be so careful in today's game, especially with quarterbacks. And sometimes you can think you're hitting the chest but if the quarterback starts to drop in a split second that chest hit becomes helmet to helmet and the defensive player is gone. It's unfortunate.
