The SEC announced it today, which means the full schedule is likely coming shortly.
In case you've forgotten the new setup for SEC basketball scheduling, here goes: Each team will play five teams twice. One of those is the "permanent rivalry" which means the two teams will play twice every year. For Arkansas, that's Missouri. The other four teams played twice rotate, and this year for the Razorbacks those four teams are Kentucky, LSU, Alabama, and Georgia. Arkansas will play each of the other eight teams once.
That's a solid schedule for Arkansas as the Hogs look to earn their first trip to the NCAA Tournament under Mike Anderson. Kentucky is expected, again, to be among the best teams in the country. Missouri, Alabama, and LSU are usually good-to-decent. So that should help the Razorbacks' strength of schedule and provide opportunity for some quality victories. And Georgia, well, you'd like to hope that's a win.
The really good news is that there are only two Thursday games, and on both ensuing Saturdays, Arkansas plays at home. Big scheduling victory there.
It was also just announced yesterday that Arkansas' game against Kentucky in Fayetteville on January 14 will be part of ESPN's Super Tuesday lineup.
