Arkansas Recruiting: Christopher Murphy Commits to the Razorbacks!

Murphy chooses the Razorbacks over Oklahoma State, Missouri, Louisville, Vanderbilt and many more.

US PRESSWIRE

Christopher Murphy tweeted on Sunday afternoon that his recruiting is coming to an end and he has chosen to become a Razorback.

Murphy is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound cornerback out of Lassiter High in Marrietta, Georgia. He boasts a 4.4 40-yard dash and becomes the sixth verbal commit for Bret Bielema's 2014 signing class. Murphy attended the Red-White Game in April and was impressed with what he saw.

The rising senior is ranked as a three-star prospect from all of the major recruiting services and is the first defensive back to join this year's class. He has offers from Oklahoma State, Missouri, North Carolina, Louisville, and Vanderbilt.

For those of you not as familiar with Georgia high school football, Lassiter is in the largest classification, and while in the past it was known more for its band program, the Trojans have turned the program around. It went 10-4 in 2011 and was undefeated heading into the playoffs last year, with the help of the Hogs' new cornerback.
