Arkansas Football Countdown: 67 Days- Looking Back On Alvin Bailey

Nelson Chenault-US PRESSWIRE
The number 67 was vacant as of spring practice, but the young (likely) o-lineman that claims the number this year will have some big shoes to fill. Literally and otherwise.

Arkansas' last number 67 was Broken Arrow, Oklahoma's very own Alvin Bailey, now with the Seattle Seahawks. After red-shirting his freshman season, Bailey went on to start every game of his Razorback career, starting with the 2010 season where he paved the way for Knile Davis to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark, and protected Ryan Mallett enough for him to throw for upwards of 3,000 yards.

The offensive success behind Bailey's line would continue until, ya know, last season, where success of any kind was hard to come by. The 2012 Smile Campaign was Bailey's last run as a Hog. An unfitting conclusion to an impressive Razorback career.

The number 67 may be vacant at the moment, but if whichever young Hog is given the opportunity to wear the number can do so as well as Bailey did, we could have quite a gym on our hands.

See you in 67 days.
