The 2013 Razorback Football Team has its work cut out for them. The losses of Tyler Wilson, Knile Davis, Dennis Johnson and Cobi Hamilton will be felt. The good news is that we now have an actual football coach. The Hogs will have a young offensive line and players that will need to step up in the running and passing game. I highly doubt we even sniff any kind of BCS game, but I do think a bowl game is possible (won't be easy). The new coaching staff seems to have this team believing in themselves and they are bringing excitement back to the program. The team still seems to be a year or two away from making an serious run at something great. Bill Connelly of SB Nation has his 2013 Razorback Preview.
Arkansas Baseball Coach Dave Van Horn spoke to the media a few days ago about the Hogs upcoming regional at Kansas State. Van Horn seemed a little surprised that the Hogs didn't get to host a regional, but he is not going to let it bother him. The Hogs are ready to roll and hope to make a push to get back to Omaha for a second straight year. Whole Hog Sports has the video.
Highly-ranked defensive end Solomon Thomas has narrowed his list of 40 scholarships down to 13. Arkansas has made the cut along with Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State and other top programs. Thomas, who has a sister at Arkansas, plans to visit the school soon. Richard Davenport has more on Thomas and his recruitment.
Break out the clubs and the beer because it is golf season. Well it has been for about a month now really, but I have been busy and have not been able to take my first adventure to Razorback golf course. Yes, I said adventure because when I play I spend more time searching through thick brush like Indiana Jones, than in the fairways. Jon Bois at SB Nation has made his own golf course; or maybe it is a mini golf course, I am not really sure by the look of it. I would be down to play a few rounds on it though.
