Arkansas Recruiting: Jack Kraus Commits To Arkansas!

Kraus is the fourth commitment in the Razorbacks' 2014 recruiting class.

Nelson Chenault-US PRESSWIRE

All the usual Arkansas recruiting sources are reporting Jack Kraus, a 6'5" tight end from Bentonville committed to the Razorbacks on Monday.

Kraus was offered by Arkansas in January. He's considered a three star recruit across multiple recruiting sites, which list him either at 220 or 240 lbs. Kraus also held offers from Illinois and Utah State.

Rivals.com lists Barry Lunney as Kraus's lead recruiter, which makes sense considering Lunney was an assistant coach at Bentonville until Bielema hired him at Arkansas in January.

He made an unofficial visit to campus a few weeks ago and Richard Davenport interviewed Kraus:

"They were just explaining that I could help recruit the rest of the class for 2014 and how they really believe I could be a good player for them.

Kraus, who was accompanied by his parents, said Arkansas' academic support staff and coaching staff impressed.

"The coaching relationships between the coaches," Kraus said. "They all like each other. That was really cool."

The new football complex was the highlight of the day.

"It's second to none," Kraus said. "It's still under construction but like training room... the recovery tub they're putting in there it's the largest in the country. The locker room it was just incredible and the weight room and everything was just awesome. "
