My name is Melvinson Hartfield Jr. & I love that I'm a new razorback #WPS
— $CollegeManDoon$ (@DOON_THE_LEGEND) February 3, 2013
Name: Melvinson Hartfield (that's his real name, and it's spectacular)
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 5-11
Weight: 183 lbs.
Hometown/High School: Dallas, Texas: South Oak Cliff High School
Hartfield originally committed to Kansas State, but flipped to Arkansas after visiting Fayetteville during the first weekend in February. His Rivals ranking is low (it's higher on Scout and 24/7), but he's also listed as a cornerback on the recruiting service, while Richard Davenport has reported that Hartfield will actually play wide receiver at Arkansas.
Since he was committed to Kansas State, it's possible this commitment is a direct result of hiring Michael Smith to Bielema's staff. Smith had been the receivers coach at Kansas State.
In addition to Kansas State, Hartfield also had an offer from Texas Tech among others.
Congratulations to Melvinson. We look forward to watching you play in Razorback Stadium. You can watch his highlights here.
