Name: Tevin Beanum
Position: DE
Height: 6-4
Weight: 235 lb
Hometown/High School: Forest City, Ark/Forrest City High School
Tevin Beanum committed at the beginning of last football season and has stayed true to his word. Forrest City’s stud pass rusher, despite only playing one year of high school football at the time, impressed at last year’s prospect camp and was offered a scholarship. Beanum grew up in Germany before moving to eastern Arkansas in 2005, but his football career didn’t start until he was a junior in high school, he recorded 50 tackles that season.
Beanum’s senior year brought more success as he went on to record 86 tackles and 4 sacks and he was nominated first team on the All-State team as a senior. Beanum will come in and add depth to a well-stocked defensive front, one that’s headlined by two of the SEC’s finest pass rushers in senior-to-be Chris Smith and junior-to-be Trey Flowers, however a good showing in camp could result in some playing time in the rotation.
