Most every Razorback fan knows the Hogs need some serious help in the secondary, and Arkansas got a little help Tuesday evening with the commitment of Santos Ramirez, a defensive back out of Shreveport, Lousiana's famed Evangel Christian.

Ramirez is rated a 3* prospect on both Rivals and 24/7. He also reported offers from LSU, Baylor and others. LSU reportedly offered Ramirez after a stellar performance at a summer camp in Baton Rouge last summer, according to NOLA.com:

Ramirez was a standout earlier this month at a camp held by LSU where he shined in coverage against some of the nation's top receiver recruits including Malachi Dupre of Curtis, "Speedy" Noil from Karr and Barbe's Trey Quinn. LSU offered Ramirez at the camp after his stellar showing. He flew under the radar until the recent LSU high school camp, in which the Evangel product locked down every receiver he matched up with during the camp's "opportunity period."

There was some confusion after the LSU camp about whether Ramirez committed to the Tigers. There were reports he'd committed, some said LSU wanted to continue evaluating before accepting his commitment, but multiple Crystal Ball predictions on 24/7 still had him going to LSU as of Tuesday. But regardless, he's now a Razorback.

Here's the link to his junior season highlights on hudl.

It appears from that Ramirez is teammates with current Razorback commitment Jared Cornelius, and is the 6th Arkansas commitment from Louisiana in the class of 2014.
