Senior linebacker Terrell Williams was arrested Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) for driving while intoxicated in Fayetteville.
L. has suspended Williams indefinitely, meaning he likely won't play against South Carolina in Columbia this Saturday. Meaning Arkansas will likely have to start two freshmen, Otha Peters and AJ Turner, against the Gamecocks. It's unknown if he'll return for the Mississippi State game.
Williams had become a reliable player on the Razorbacks' depleted linebacker corps. He'd recorded 50 tackles since the Rutgers game, and had 7 of them this week against Tulsa.
He will be released after posting bond, and has a court date set for December 14th.
L has released a statement:
"I am very disappointed in the decisions made by Terrell Williams. He did not represent himself or the University of Arkansas in a manner we expect and has been suspended indefinitely. We have high expectations for the actions of everyone in our program on and off the field, and our student-athletes will be held accountable."
