Jim Harris, longtime Razorback reporter and former editor of our beloved ArkansasSports360.com, reported today via twitter that UA has offered the head coaching job to Jon Gruden.
My sources say Arkansas has made an offer to ESPN pro analyst Jon Gruden.

So there you go. Other Arkansas media members are on record saying this won't happen. Radio host Bo Mattingly, in particular, tweeted that he believes TCU's Gary Patterson is the person most likely to get the job.
However, we believe this is the first report specifically saying someone has been offered the position. Since Tennessee fired Derek Dooley on Sunday, Gruden has been frequently mentioned in connection to that job as well, but no one has said he's already been offered the job.
This will surely be a fascinating story to follow. Will there be a bidding war between Arkansas and the Vols? Is Gruden even Tennessee's top choice? If this story is true, it's possible either Arkansas or Tennessee could have its opening filled quickly.
Monday Night Football should get an upsurge of viewers from Arkansas and Tennessee tonight, I'd think.
